Saint-Gobain’s sintered 300 series features two blocky shaped powders. The titania present in these formulations yields superior deposit efficiency & finishing characteristics compared to pure chromium oxide. Virtually free of chromium metal, these powders produce an extremely corrosion resistant coating ideal for pumps, shafts, seals, pistons and rolls.
Coarser particle sizes allow for thicker coatings, while medium or fine cuts are used when a thinner coating is required.
Saint-Gobain’s #340 & 341 are sintered & crushed blocky shaped powders that produce excellent wear & corrosion resistant coatings. The presence of silica & titania increases deposit efficiency & improves finish quality when compared to pure chromium oxide powders.
These powders are used to provide coatings on pumps, shafts, seals & rolls. Powders with larger particle size are ideal for repair work where thick coatings – up to 0.1 inch (2.5 mm) – are required.
