    Ceramic Series

    Saint-Gobain Coating Solutions created the ceramic-based thermal spray Flexicord products to increase the life of components exposed to demanding process conditions. Ceramic Flexicord products are available in a range of coating formulations to cover a wide range of applications including resistance to mechanical wear, corrosion, thermal insulation, electrical insulation, diffusion barrier.

    Combined with Master Jet®, Master Jet® Auto, or ID Gun, these Flexicord of Ceramic Series represent the best user-friendly solution for best-in-class ceramic coatings.

    Ceramic Series
    Pure Alumina Thermal Spray Flexicord (Al2O3) | Ceramic Series

    Pure Alumina

    Corrosion resistant in most acid & alkaline environments, and suitable for high-temperature applications.


    Hardness: 700 - 770 Hv300

    Density: 3.6 g/cm3 (0.13 lb/in3)

    Black Corundum 15 Thermal Spray Flexicord (Al2O3 15% TiO2), Ceramic Series

    Black Corundum 15

    Good absorption and diffusion of infrared rays (IR), moderate corrosion resistance in acidic & alkaline environments.


    Hardness: 900 - 1000 HV100

    Density: 3.6 g/cm3 (0.13 lb/in3)

    Black Corundum 50 Thermal Spray Flexicord (Al2O3 50% TiO2), Ceramic Series

    Black Corundum 50

    Good absorption & diffusion of infrared rays with moderate corrosion resistance in acidic & alkaline environments.


    Hardness: 900 - 1000 HV100

    Density: 3.6 g/cm3 (0.13 lb/in3)

    Black Body Thermal Spray Flexicord, Ceramic Series | Saint-Gobain Ceramic Solutions

    Black Body

    Black body ceramic coating for solar absorbers.  Coating can be easily applied on site.


    Hardness: 710 - 920 HV300

    Density: 3.9 g/cm3 (0.13 lb/in3)

    Blue Corundum Thermal Spray Flexicords (Al2O3 3% TiO2), Ceramic Series

    Blue Corundum

    Good corrosion resistance in acidic & alkaline environments with moderate abrasion resistance.


    Hardness: 800 Hv300

    Density: 3.5 g/cm3 (0.126lb/in3)

    Ti-Elite Thermal Spray Flexicord, Ceramic Series | Saint-Gobain Coating Solutions

    Ti-Elite

    Excellent sliding wear resistance and excellent smooth finish after grinding.


    Hardness: 1010 HV200

    Density: 3.6 g/cm3 (0.13lb/in3)

    Ti-Tex Thermal Spray Flexicord, Ceramic Series | Saint-Gobain Coating Solutions

    Ti-Tex

    Excellent sliding wear resistance with excellent smooth finish after grinding.


    Hardness: 950 HV200

    Density: 3.6 g/cm3 (0.13lb/in3)

    Spinel Thermal Spray Flexicord, Ceramic Series | Saint-Gobain Coating Solutions

    Spinel

    Suitable for contact with molten metals and ideal thermal barrier coating for crucibles, chutes & fusion pots.


    Hardness: 730 HV300

    Density: 3 g/cm3 (0.10lb/in3)

    Magnesium Zirconate Thermal Spray Flexicord, Ceramic Series | Saint-Gobain Coating Solutions

    Magnesium  Zirconate

    CTE of magnesium zirconate is close to the CTE of steel, provides protection against contact for molten steel for a short time.


    Hardness: 760 HV300

    Density: 4.9 g/cm3 (0.17 lb/in3)

    Titania Thermal Spray Flexicord (TiO2), Ceramic Series | Saint-Gobain Coating Solutions

    Titania

    Used as bond coat when Nickel formulations aren't suitable, and low AC dielectric strength - KV/mm.


    Hardness: 950 HV300

    Density: 4.1 g/cm3 (0.15 lb/in3)
